Conor McGregor is not best known for letting old grudges lie.
A defeat at the hands of Nate Diaz saw him work and train to make sure that he was better prepared for him the next time the two of them went at it inside the Octagon. Not only was he better prepared this time around, but he also went on to win the fight.

After a humiliating defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov which saw McGregor submit and give up halfway through his bout at UFC 229, the 'Notorious One' will definitely be working on being better prepared for Nurmagomedov's offence if he were to get a rematch with him.
One thing's for sure, McGregor will not be letting go of Khabib that easily. Whether he gets another bout or not is another matter, but if the two were to face off, the fight might be even bigger than the last time this time around.
