2024 was another big year for ONE Championship with huge events, breakout stars and, of course, some blockbuster showdowns that are worth taking a look back on.

With 2025 already underway, take a look back at five of the best contests that the world's largest martial arts organization had to offer across kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA in the previous calendar year.

At ONE 165 in January, Takeru Segawa made his long awaited ONE Championship debut at the Ariake Arena in Japan. But following an injury to to Rodtang Jitmuangnon, fight fans had to wait a big longer for that super fight.

In stepped another bona fide ONE Championship striker, Superlek, who put his ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship on the line in an instant classic.

'The Kicking Machine', who had an incredible 2024, took control early but the Japanese superstar in the opposite corner showed his incredible heart and resilience to work his way back into the fight, even if he was unable to secure the victory.

#2. Jonathan Haggerty turns the tables against ever-dangerous Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 19

ONE Fight Night 19 was another card that took place early on in 2024 and the main event set a very high bar for the rest of the year.

Jonathan Haggerty put the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship on the line against the dangerous Felipe Lobo and it was quickly apparent that the judges would not be needed for this one.

'The General' bounced back from some serious adversity to stop the challenger in the third round following some of the most exciting exchanges of the year.

#3. Anatoly Malykhin creates history against Reinier de Ridder at ONE 166

Anatoly Malykhin made history in the main event of ONE Championship's inaugural show in Qatar, ONE 166, where he stopped Reinier de Ridder to become MMA's first three-division world champion.

The Russian was in control of the fight but de Ridder was able to be far more competitive than he was in his first encounter with Malykhin.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to keep hold of his ONE middleweight MMA world title as he was eventually overwhelmed by the then two-division ONE Championship world champion in the third round.

#4. Lito Adiwang and Danial Williams' action-packed scrap at ONE Fight Night 19

Another spectacular back-and-forth battle from ONE Fight Night 19 saw Lito Adiwang extend his winning streak in the strawweight division.

The versatility of 'Thunder Kid' secured him the win over Danial Williams as he achieved success in both the striking and grappling exchanges.

However, in the third round, Williams showed that he was down but not out and nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the closing moments.

#5. Tawanchai edges past game Jo Nattawut in striking masterclass at ONE 167

ONE Championship striking megastars Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Jo Nattawut put on a great fight in 2023 but it is their rematch over five rounds from 2024 that deserves the most recognition.

The champion may have retained the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship via a majority decision but he was pushed to the limit by 'Smokin' Jo, who made some excellent adjustments in the fight to make it an incredibly competitive contest down the stretch.
