On April 8, the civil lawsuit against McGregor was dropped. After receiving a settlement, the accuser's attorney admitted that his client was 'made whole' following the unfortunate disturbance.

These troubling events all occurred after Conor McGregor lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov. After becoming the face of the UFC, 'The Notorious' continues to find himself in precarious situations. Many question whether all of the hoopla outside the cage has affected the athlete's overall fighting performance.
Since this wasn't his first run-in with the law, it appears that Conor McGregor is beginning to sour his impassioned fan base. If the superstar continues to break the law, he will continue to face the gavel. Overall, an athlete of his caliber fighting with a regular citizen is not a good look and likely resulted in fans turning against him.
#3. Conor McGregor and the pub assault
On August 15, 2019, a report indicated that Conor McGregor assaulted an old man at the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin, Ireland. As with any time a superstar is involved in a quarrel, news outlets picked up on it and began disseminating the details of the incident.
The initial release shows the conflict occurring on April 6. After the Irish Police conducted an investigation, McGregor was charged with assault and slapped with a court date.
According to multiple outlets, Conor McGregor continuously offered the defendant a shot of his Irish Whiskey Proper No. 12, to which the older gentlemen declined. Once he refused the offer, 'The Notorious' uncorked a left-hand shot into the unidentified man's face.
The timing of the assault was once again in line with McGregor's UFC career lows. Specifically, the disturbance occurred roughly six months after his loss to arch-nemesis Nurmagomedov. Following over a year of inactivity, it seemed entirely possible that McGregor may never return to fighting.
With a litany of alleged charges and problems with multiple judicial systems, the general public has grown weary of McGregor's antics outside of the sport.
