Although he has since starred in many other movies, the action comedy of the Drunken Master was particularly impressive. A martial artist who is always in a drunken daze and can never be beaten, Wong Fei-Hung would be a difficult opponent for anyone to read.

With Chan at his fast and furious best in both parts of this movie, the character is one that is difficult to hit. Appearing drunk, and moving in such a way, there is no telling what technique this master would use to attack his opponent.
