#5. Alex Pereira as a terrifying bunny
Generally, bunnies aren't considered to be as intimidating or dangerous. That is if the bunny isn't Alex Pereira.
The fearsome fighter cosplayed as a bunny in a comedic segment on Podpah's Rango Brabo show. As seen in the YouTube video streamed in November 2024, Pereira partook in various activities alongside others on the show.
The biggest talking point to emerge from it was Pereira sporting a bunny costume and then hitting host, Brazilian comedian Diogo Defante, with a few body shots.
Defante was wearing protective gear around his torso but still appeared to feel the impact. Pereira, seemingly with the media personality's permission, delivered progressively more powerful punches to his body, making Defante take a break on multiple occasions and even knocking him down twice.
Fans lauded Pereira for being a good sport by agreeing to wear the costume on-screen. His nonchalance during the segment was also hailed, with many alluding to the kickboxing veteran and MMA great's ability to be effortlessly funny.

#4. Alex Pereira's deadpan humor on terrifying rollercoasters
Alex Pereira has filmed multiple videos of himself on some scary rollercoaster rides with family and friends. Some of the most prominent videos of the striking savant on such rides feature his sons, Alessandro Vidal Silva and Lohan Vidal Silva, and his then-partner Merle Christine (whom he was later involved in a highly publicized split with).
Pereira seemed to record himself on the rollercoaster rides, whilst ensuring that he doesn't drop the camera/recording device and also maintaining his signature stoic expression.
Many fans have long drawn comparisons between 'Poatan' and the famous stone-faced statues -- the Moai statues of the Easter Island in Eastern Polynesia.

The stone-face meme is a widely used one and is often posted by fight fans to express their support and praise fot Pereira. He's long been known among fans, who followed him since his time as a two-division Glory kickboxing champion years ago, for his apparent stoicism.
As for the stone-faced memes and jokes made about him, his lack of facial expressions during something as exhilarating and daunting as a rollercoaster has further fueled the references to his deadpan humor.

#3. Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya - the Pikachu Pokemon element
Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya have clashed four times in professional combat sports overall, twice in kickboxing and MMA each.
Pereira outpointed the Nigeria-born Kiwi in 2016 and knocked him out in 2017 in their kickboxing matches. The Brazilian then knocked Adesanya out to win the UFC middleweight title in 2022 and lost it via KO in their MMA rematch in 2023.
Pereira is currently 3-1 against 'The Last Stylebender' in pro fights. Also, while Adesanya still competes at middleweight, 'Poatan' moved up in weight and is the reigning UFC light heavyweight kingpin.
The two archrivals have often expressed their respect for one another but also traded their fair share of jibes over the years.
Heading into their fourth encounter, their MMA rematch in April 2023, Pereira set fans abuzz by reacting to a YouTube video by Adesanya that featured the former champ and his friends reacting to a UFC event.
The video notably featured a collectible, presumably belonging to Adesanya, of the iconic anime character, Pikachu, from the Pokemon franchise. Pereira seemed to disapprovingly gesture about it.
During an interview with media personality and influencer Nina-Marie Daniele (aka Nina Drama), Pereira explained his Pikachu feud with Adesanya. He suggested that he was lightheartedly messing with his longtime rival and didn't mean any ill will. Daniele then gifted him a Pikachu jacket, which Pereira donned during UFC 287 media day before their MMA rematch.
Pereira also told the media that the jacket was gifted to him and that he didn't mean to offend Adesanya for his love for anime. The Nigerian-New Zealander reacted with an NSFW Pokemon meme.
Moreover, it was Pereira's interview with Daniele that garnered considerable attention. The funniest moment came when Pereira, lifting the Pikachu collectible she gifted him, put forth a hilarious Pikachu impression.

#2. Alex Pereira speaks to giant stone-faced statue, welcomes miniature replica home
On The MMA Hour, Alex Pereira acknowledged the support he's received from the fans. He took the jokes and memes about his stone-faced demeanor and penchant for maintaining a stoic facial expression in his stride. The KO artist pointed out that he'd released his stone-faced merchandise as well.
Also, speaking to Shakiel Mahjouri, Pereira even referenced the miniature replica of the Easter Island statues that he'd welcomed to his house alongside then-partner Merle Christine.
Pereira previously posted comedy videos of himself and others alongside the statue, which he jokingly deemed his adopted "son." 'Poatan' even jestingly named it 'Tony'.
Watch Pereira discuss the topic below:
Another video of Alex Pereira, which gained considerable attention among fight fans, saw him posing for a photograph and video alongside a gigantic Easter Island statue head and lightheartedly appearing to speak with it.
Pereira, who usually converses in the Brazilian-Portuguese language, stated the following to the statue in English:
"Why so serious? I know what no one understand it."

#1. Alex Pereira trolled Israel Adesanya
A long-running joke among fight fans is that Alex Pereira has hunted Israel Adesanya down, be it in kickboxing or MMA, and hurt the latter's star power.
Adesanya himself is a combat sports megastar and legend. However, the losses to Pereira heralded the end of his kickboxing career and his brutal two-fight series against 'Poatan' in MMA has hugely hurt his MMA career's momentum.
Pereira also hilariously ran into Israel Adesanya at an airport; a cordial encounter between the two rivals. Well, things weren't too friendly between them back in 2022.
Ahead of their first MMA encounter at UFC 281 in November of that year, Adesanya posted footage of himself undergoing dodging drills by having tennis balls thrown at him.
'Poatan' responded by trolling Adesanya with footage of himself mockingly sparring on a hoverboard. He also put forth footage of himself dodging multiple balls thrown at him, even dodging some while blindfolded, and implying that his training was far tougher than that of his rival.
The trolling even elicited praise from Chael Sonnen, another MMA great who's often deemed as one of the masters at trolling one's opponents!
