In a WWE match, the length of the matches are pre-determined and the officials inside and outside the ring signal to the stars letting them know how long they have to perform. Even so, inside the ring, they have rest holds which allow them to take small breaks in between moves and high spots.

This allows the wrestlers to rest and catch their breath.

In the UFC, although there are breaks in between the rounds they are hardly enough for a person to recover. Even with all their bodies aching from the blows they have taken in the previous rounds they must fight on.

15 minutes of actual fighting is extremely exhausting, and in the case of the main event, 25 minutes, is a remarkable amount of time for two individuals to continue battering each other inside the Octagon. Despite losing breath they have to continue and that's not something people are always capable of.
