In UFC too, in most cases, fighters have a lot respect for each other. However, the objective is, if the fight is not to go to a decision, then the person must be able to knock out their opponent.

Even if a person is extremely tough, it is not easy for a person to bring themselves to such a place where they can knock out the person in front of them, or at least cause them enough pain so that they have to submit and be unable to continue.
