Aleksandar Rakic is a well-known Austrian professional mixed martial artist who is signed with the leading professional mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Rakic was interested in football in his early days; however, after getting shunted out of the team, Rakic started training in kickboxing and boxing as a child. He eventually transitioned to mixed martial arts and started pursuing a professional career in it.

Aleksandar Rakic made his debut in the UFC on September 2, 2017, at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Struve against Francimar Barroso. He outclassed Barroso and secured a unanimous decision victory over him to continue his winning run. Currently, Rakic is ranked as the No. 5 light heavyweight fighter in the UFC and is among the top contenders in the division.
