Alexander Hernandez is a prominent name in the mixed martial arts universe. He is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and fights in the featherweight division of the promotion. The 31-year-old American mixed martial artist trained in wrestling and mixed martial arts in his childhood and it took him a while to find his passion in the sport while serving as a mortgage loan officer, giving himself time to heal from an MCL and meniscus injury.

Alexander Hernandez initially competed as an amateur, where he won all his fights before becoming a professional fighter. He made his debut at Kickass Productions in October 2012 against Dimitre Ivy and won via a unanimous decision. He competed in multiple fight promotions following his debut before joining the UFC.

Riding high on an attractive professional record of 9 wins and 1 loss, Alexander Hernandez squared off against Beneil Dariush in his first fight at the promotion at UFC 222. Hernandez dispatched Dariush in the first round and secured a dominant win, thus announcing his arrival with style. His UFC journey, however, hasn’t been what he would have wanted it to be. After registering a dominant win, Hernandez kept losing fights. He will be looking forward to his upcoming fight to register a win and get back on a winning streak to propel further in his division.
