Alyse Anderson raves about Adriano Moraes’ insane work ethic

ONE atomweight slugger Alyse Anderson feels inspired every time she sees Adriano Moraes training at their gym in Florida. The former ONE flyweight king is slated to face long-time rival ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson in a trilogy match at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

With the blockbuster event only a few weeks away, Moraes has kept mum about any of his training, even going so far as to step back from social media.

However, thanks to American Top Team teammate, Alyse Anderson, fans can guage for themselves the dedication he puts in his training every day. Speaking to ONE Championship, ‘Lil’ Savage revealed:

“Adriano is always in the gym and always preparing, even if he doesn’t have a fight camp. He’s someone that lives in the gym, and he can just go at that rate for months on end.”

Undoubtedly, Anderson gets a dose of inspiration every time she sets foot inside the prestigious training facility in Coconut Creek. If it’s not Adriano Moraes she draws inspiration from, it’s certainly from female world champions Joanna Jedrzejczyk or ‘The Lioness’ Amanda Nunes.

Training alongside world-class champions in MMA certainly gets the adrenaline going, especially for a young rising star like Anderson.

She is expected to represent her gym on May 5 as well to face one of the toughest fighters in her division - No. 1 ranked atomweight Stamp Fairtex.

Alyse Anderson is betting on herself to defeat Stamp Fairtex with her submission skills

Alyse Anderson is going into her next with brimming confidence knowing that Stamp Fairtex has major gaps in her jiu-jitsu.

Unlike Stamp, Alyse Anderson has a lot of MMA experience under her belt. She racked up an undefeated amateur record of 6-0 followed by a 5-1 record in the professional scene, before getting noticed by ONE Championship in 2021.

So far, she has had only two fights with the promotion but is undoubtedly one of the strongest grapplers in the division. On May 5, Anderson hopes to keep the momentum going by exploiting Stamp Fairtex’s greatest weakness.

She told ONE:

“I think that I am most comfortable as a grappler, which is why I like this matchup. Because Stamp is a world-class kickboxer, but she does have holes in MMA. I see them in her grappling.”
