Anshul Jubli

The King of Lions, Anshul Jubli, was born on January 13, 1995, in New Delhi. As an Indian mixed martial artist, he is the second individual from that country to sign a deal with the UFC. In addition, he is the second Indian fighter in the UFC after Bharat Khandare and the first to win a UFC match.

Jubli made his professional MMA debut at Matrix Fight Night (MFN), an organization started by Bollywood star Tiger Shroff, in 2019. He defeated Sanjeet Budhwar via decision in his debut bout, which took place in Mumbai on June 29, 2019.

In a judge's ruling on December 20, he triumphed over Amit Raj Kumar. He defeated Rajith Chandran by TKO in 4:44 of the opening round on February 28, 2020, in Dubai. In December 2020, he triumphed over Srikant Shekhar via unanimous decision following a three-round bout in Dubai. On September 24, 2020, he defeated Mohammad Mahmoudian in the first round.

Following Patrick Sho Usami's disqualification from the 2022 Road to UFC Lightweight Tournament due to his inability to make a weight cut, Jubli proceeded to the semifinals. In the semifinals, Kyung Pyo Kim of South Korea was defeated by Jubli via a split decision. He next faced Indonesia's Jeka Saragih in the UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivak finals. In the second round, Jubli submitted via TKO to win the fight. With this victory, Jubli was awarded Performance of the Night and the UFC contract.

Anshul Jubli faced Mike Breeden at UFC 294: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2, in the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on October 21, 2023. Jubli lost the fight via TKO in the third round. Even though the 28-year-old Indian dominated Mike Breeden in the first two rounds, he could not continue with the strikes when Breeden started getting more aggressive with his punches and talks.
