MMA journalist Ariel Helwani was visibly left distraught after the recent Nashville school shooting.

In yet another case of a school shooting in the United States of America, The Covenant School in Nashville was attacked by a former student of the school, Audrey E. Hale.

The 28-year-old opened fire on the school premises and killed six people before being shot down by the police. It has since been revealed that the shooter was being treated for emotional disorder.

Addressing the same in a recent episode of his show, The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani spoke about how heartbreaking it is to see innocent school kids being killed. He said:

"Their life ended in a flash because someone wanted to go to school and murder them and then they had teachers there who tried to protect them and they got murdered too, for what? And then it's gonna go down to this thing on social media, we're all gonna debate it and then conspiracies are gonna come and people are gonna say the government was involved and all this bullsh*t. Shame on all of you, shame on all of us."

Ariel Helwani added:

"Unfortunately it will likely happen again and that is just as heartbreaking as what happened yesterday. I can't even wrap my head around fourth graders being in a classroom and being shot down and this is very hard."

Nashville school shooting: What did Conor McGregor say about it?

Reacting to the Nashville school shooting, former UFC champion Conor McGregor came up with an interesting proposition.

In a now deleted tweet, McGregor suggested that every school should have armed bodyguards. Interestingly, he suggested that he had armed guards in place while his children were attending school in USA. While suggesting that this could save children's lives, 'The Notorious One' said:

"I would like to see armed protection at each school also. I have had my children at school here while stateside and have had my own armed guard present at the school. This was prior to the most recent school shooting also.
"If she shot her way in to that school from the outside, my guard, who is tucked away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down. Saving those children’s lives. May God and his best people on this earth protect our children!."
