The No.8 ranked flyweight contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Asu Almabayev, hails from Kazakhstan. The 31-year-old Kazakh fighter made his professional debut when he was 19 years old in June 2013. In his professional debut, Asu Almabayev faced Vadim Buseev at R.O.D Shield and Sword 4 Moscow, Russia as a bantamweight contender. He won the bout via a unanimous decision by the judges' scorecard.
