It was finally time for the main event as Pitbull and Scope looked to end the night on a high. This was Scope's first Bellator fight as he was coming with a record of 10-1 from BAMMA. As for Pitbull, the 33-year-old Freire looked to continue his winning streak that stood at 4 before this fight.

The fight between the Brazilian Freire and the Sunderland native Scope kicked off with referee Kevin MacDonald overseeing the proceedings.

Round 1: Scope came in with a couple of kicks as Freire answered with a combination of strikes. Scope relied on his kicks throughout the round as he connected with kicks to the legs and body of Freire. Scope attempted a roundhouse kick but missed as Friere came back with an overhand right and an uppercut, but missed both.

Freire knocked Scope down with a knee and followed it up with hammerfists and elbows but Scope stayed conscious. He was allowed to get back up on his feet by Freire who ended the round with a jab.

Round 2: Scope employed the leg kick strategy again. Friere got in a knee and sent Scope into the cage. Freire unleashed leg kicks of his own and mixed it up nicely with a left. Scope grew into the round as he landed a combo and jab. He ate a spin kick and two leg kicks but replied with a series of leg kicks. The round came to a close as Scope may have managed to edge it in his favor owing to his kicks.

10-9 Scope

Round 3: It started with the familiar leg kicks again as Scope stuck to his game plan of wearing Friere's legs down. This was another close round as both men got their fair share of moments, Scope connected with his combos as Friere shot for a takedown. The round ended with Scope getting the better of Friere on the ground with a few hammerfists.

Result: Patricky Freire def. Ryan Scope via Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

It was a close fight but Patricky may have edged it on the scorecard due to a knockdown. His fifth win in a row puts in firmly in place for a shot at Michale Chandler's title.
