No.9-ranked lightweight contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship Beneil Dariush has been a phenomenal fighter since his professional debut in 2009. Before signing up for the UFC, Dariush was a former RITC lightweight champion and has competed in numerous other promotions like Samurai MMA Pro and Hight Fight Rock 2. He made his UFC debut in 2014 against Charlie Brenneman at UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Philippou. Within one minute and 45 seconds into the first round, Beneil Dariush stopped Brenneman via a rear naked choke submission. Gradually, with his immense performance showcase, Beneil Dariush rose to become one of the top five contenders in the lightweight contenders in the UFC. From 2018 to 2022, Dariush was on an eight-fight win streak, before facing the former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira in June 2023.

For his last outing, Beneil Dariush faced Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan on December 2, 2023, in Austin Texas, United States.
