Bibiano Fernandes believes Stephen Loman will follow similar game plan of teammate Kevin Belingon

At ONE on Prime Video 4, Bibiano Fernandes has a point to prove against Stephen Loman. The former bantamweight champion will step back inside the circle for the second time this year after losing his world championship to John Lineker in his last fight.

After dominating the division for so long, Fernandes must once again play the role of the contender and show that he can still compete with the up-and-coming fighters around him.

‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman is one of those fighters, who's put together back-to-back wins since debuting in ONE Championship.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Bibiano Fernandes outlined how he believes Loman will approach the biggest test of his career to date:

“He comes from a camp with someone who has already fought me, so I believe he’s going to follow Kevin Belingon’s [game] plan. He’s going to try to fight standing up, that I can see. He’s going to try to get away from my jiu-jitsu and wrestling, I can see that too. But he can’t forget I have power.”

Stephen Loman is a proud representative of one of Asia’s top gyms, Team Lakay. Loman will be no stranger to the dangers that Fernandes presents, with the Brazilian having shared the circle with his teammate Kevin Belingon four times.

Ahead of his return to the circle against Stephen Loman, Bibiano Fernandes has posted a video updating his progress in this training camp.

Fernandes has had a great career in ONE Championship, producing one of the most dominant runs the promotion has ever seen in his time as bantamweight champion.

In his upcoming fight, ‘The Flash’ has a point to prove after losing his world championship to John Lineker earlier this year. The 42-year-old needs to rebound from the loss to keep himself at the top of the division and will take on a rising contender in Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman.
