Rumors about Bobby Green being cut by the UFC have been debunked.
MMA fans took a break from discussing the UFC 280 fight week to focus on a shocking rumor. The UFC Roster Watch Twitter account, which robotically updates changes to the UFC roster, posted that Green had been removed.
Fans immediately jumped to conclusions about Green being cut, which would be shocking considering his exciting fighting style and willingness to fight anyone. The panic from the MMA community came to an end when TSN reporter Aaron Bronsteter posted this update on Twitter:

“I'm told that Bobby Green has not been released by the UFC. In all likelihood, he was removed from the roster page due to his USADA sanction and he is eligible to resume competition on November 16.”
Green was scheduled to fight Jim Miller at UFC 276 but was forced to pull out because of a failed drug test. The UFC lightweight was then suspended for six months by USADA. ‘King’ admitted to taking the banned substance because he was unaware it was illegal. He’s eligible to return starting November 16.
Fans rejoice after hearing Bobby Green is still signed to the UFC
When the UFC Roster Watch Twitter account posted Bobby Green being removed from the roster, fans were shocked and disappointed. Green is a veteran willing to fight anytime, anywhere, and last fought against Islam Makhachev in a top lightweight contender matchup. The MMA community stormed the comment section with some saying:
“Please say sike!!”
“Nawww this is crazy”
“WHAT noooo”
“Please tell me this is an inactivity/suspension thing. We NEED Bobby Green in the ufc.”
“The man that just fought for the LW #1 contender spot got cut??
Once Aaron Bronstetter confirmed Green was still with the UFC, fans then rejoiced by saying:
“Thank god had a damn near heart attack”
“The man is a legend.”
“I almost rioted”
“Good news!”
“God thank you”
The reason for UFC fighters getting cut can be spontaneous and confusing. In Green’s case, fighting last against the current lightweight title challenger and then getting cut would be difficult to understand. Luckily, ‘King’ is not done fighting in the UFC.
