ONE two-division champion Reinier de Ridder is prepping to make his first light heavyweight title defense at ONE on Prime Video 5—and he's confident in his ability to compete in both weight classes moving forward.

'The Dutch Knight' and interim heavyweight king Anatoly Malykhin will battle for supremacy in a showdown of unbeaten champions. Incredibly, De Ridder is looking to win his eighth straight bout inside the circle.

As a double-champ, De Ridder is expected to bounce back and forth between divisions to defense his belts—and he's perfectly fine with that—he told The MMA Superfan:

"No, both are fine. Now I'm just eating a bit more, and lifting a bit more weights. And now I'll get up to like 98-99 kilos. So it's still a little shorter than the limit. And then if I have to fight at 93, at middleweight, I just diet a little bit, and I kind of make it pretty easily as well. So both are pretty good to manage."

Reinier de Ridder believes no fighters can match his conditioning and stamina

The 32-year-old has demonstrated many elite-level skills throughout his storied career, but his extreme conditioning might be his most underrated trait. He recently said in the same interview:

"What you said is very true, conditioning is not just your Vo2 max. It's not just how well your body handles fatigue, it's about technique, it's about the mental aspect. It's about being in control of a fight that helps you endure."

Reinier de Ridder continued, saying:

"It's not just about how many times you did your sprints or whatever, there's so much more that goes into having the best conditioning, being the best-conditioned athlete."

De Ridder is coming off massive victories over ONE staples like Aung La N Sang (twice), Kiamrian Abbasov, and Vitaly Bigdash. Adding Malykhin to that list will only elevate his already established legacy.

Be sure to watch the hyped light heavyweight world title fight between Reinier de Ridder and Anatoly Malykhin at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2, live from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
