He rematched Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June 2021 and became the champion by submitting the former Brazilian champion via a rear naked choke submission.
At UFC 270, Brandon Moreno lost the title to Deiveson Figueiredo via a unanimous decision by the judges' scorecard. However, Brandon Moreno faced Kair Kara France at UFC 277, becoming the interim featherweight champion, and later unified the title at UFC 283 against Deiveson Figueiredo.
