Former two-time UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno is a phenomenal athlete in and out of the octagon. With more than a decade of experience in the sport, Moreno boasts a record of 22 wins, eight losses, and two draws, as of March 26, 2025, in MMA. Before signing up for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Moreno had competed in other promotions like UWC Mexico, Xplode Fight Series, and MEZ Sports. He is a former World Fighting Federation flyweight champion in 2014 and had made few title defenses till 2016.

However, Brandon Moreno's recent showdowns had not been in his favor. For his recent fight, Moreno faced Amir Albazi on November 2, 2024, in Canada, and won the fight via a unanimous decision. Moreno is currently in preparation to square off against Steve Erceg on March 29, 2025.

Brandon Moreno has a fighting style based on his Brazilian jiu-jitsu skillset. Moreover, he combines his knowledge of kickboxing with BJJ to put on a unique performance inside the cage.

Over the years, the majority of Brandon Moreno's wins are via submission (11), knockout (five), and decision (six).

Brandon Moreno's championship fights

Brandon Moreno is undoubtedly one of the high-level skilled athletes in the promotion. Six of his last seven fights had been championship bouts. Moreno faced Deiveson Figueiredo for the first time in 2020 at UFC 256, and the bout ended up in a split draw. He rematched Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June 2021 and became the champion by submitting the former Brazilian champion via a rear naked choke submission.

At UFC 270, Brandon Moreno lost the title to Deiveson Figueiredo via a unanimous decision by the judges' scorecard. However, Brandon Moreno faced Kair Kara France at UFC 277, becoming the interim featherweight champion, and later unified the title at UFC 283 against Deiveson Figueiredo. For his first title defense after becoming a two-time champion, Brandon Moreno faced Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 290 in July 2023. However, Moreno lost his title to Pantoja after the five-rounder via a split decision scorecard by the judges.
