Brandon Moreno, born in Tijuana, Mexico, is a former two-time UFC flyweight champion. Moreno stands at 5'7" with a 70" reach and has spent most of his career fighting in the UFC since his debut in 2016. He was one of the first Mexican-born fighters to clinch the UFC title, making history in Latin America. Nicknamed "The Assassin Baby," Moreno mixes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prowess with exciting striking and amasses a record of 21 wins, eight losses, and two draws, with five knockouts and 11 submissions to his name, as of October 30, 2024. He is well known for his rivalry against Deiveson Figueiredo, whom he defeated in January 2023 to unify the flyweight championship of the world. Growing up Moreno was an avid boxing fan as he was not aware of any other combat sports. He developed an interest in capoeira but couldn’t find a school to train in Tijuana. While searching, he discovered an MMA gym and began training in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu instead.

Moreno made his professional MMA debut in Mexico in April 2011, building a record of 6-3 over two years. In 2014, he joined the World Fighting Federation (WFF), where he went 5-0, ultimately claiming the WFF Flyweight Championship. His success earned him a spot in The Ultimate Fighter season 25 flyweight tournament, launching his UFC career.
