Former UFC fighter and Glory MMA coach James Krause's name has once again come up in a betting-related issue.
ESPN's David Payne Purdum recently reported that the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has prohibited all sportsbooks in the state from taking bets on any fights where Krause is involved in any capacity. Purdum wrote:
"New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement notified the state’s sportsbooks today that they are prohibited from taking bets on fights that James Krause is involved in “as a coach, trainer, promoter or fighter.”

The news comes after a bout involving Krause went under investigation due to suspicious betting line movements ahead of the fight. The fight in question was Darrick Minner's UFC Vegas 64 clash against Shayilan Nuerdanbieke.
Minner, who's coached by Krause, went on to drop a first-round TKO loss after injuring his leg. It was later reported that he went into the fight with an already-compromised leg.
Sportsbooks noticed that money started pouring in for Nuerdanbieke hours before the clash, suggesting someone knew of Minner's injury. Krause's name was dragged into the mix as he is well known in betting circles and also provides betting tips on Discord and YouTube.
James Krause was recently stopped from cornering his fighter at UFC Vegas 65
Darrick Minner's fight with Shayilan Nuerdanbieke was initially investigated by U.S. Integrity, an independent Las Vegas-based firm that monitors the betting market. While the UFC promised to look into the matter, they initially did not jump to any conclusions regarding foul play.
However, the promotion recently stopped James Krause from cornering his fighter Miles Johns for his UFC Vegas 65 clash against Vince Morales. Krause was pulled from Johns' corner by the UFC and the Nevada State Athletic Commission, citing his involvement in a fight that is already under investigation.
Johns went on to score a unanimous decision win over Morales. 'Chapo' later revealed that the UFC didn't give a reason for pulling coach Krause out of his corner.
