In July 2018, Mitchell defeated Tyler Diamond at The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated via majority decision. He continued his success in March 2019 by defeating Bobby Moffett at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Pettis, earning the Fight of the Night award.
