Carlston Harris

Carlston Lindsay Harris, also known as "Mocambique," is a professional MMA fighter from Skeldon, Guyana. He was born on July 9, 1987, and competes in the UFC's welterweight division (170 lbs). Standing 6 feet tall with a 76-inch reach, Harris is known for his strong skills in both striking and grappling. In 2007, Harris relocated to Manaus, Brazil, in search of better job prospects and took up work as a mechanic. While in Brazil, he started training in boxing and luta livre as a hobby. Inspired by watching MMA fights, he decided to make it his career. He later moved to Rio de Janeiro to train at the Renovacao Fight Team with coach Marcio "Cromado" Ramos Barbosa.

He began his professional MMA journey in 2011 and as of December 2024, has achieved a record of 19 wins and 6 losses (19-6-0). His wins include five by knockout and six by submission. Harris is the first Guyanese fighter to compete in the UFC, which is a huge milestone for his country. The Guyanese native has earned some notable wins in the UFC, including impressive performances against Christian Aguilera and Jeremiah Wells, which earned him bonus awards. Before joining the UFC, he won the Brave CF Welterweight Championship. Harris is now scheduled to fight against UFC veteran, Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 249 on January 11, 2025, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
