Anthony David Benavidez, who also goes by The Mexican Monster or The Boogeyman, is an American professional boxer with an unblemished record of 29 wins in 29 fights (29-0-0). He is the current WBC interim light heavyweight champ, as of January 2025. Benavidez is recognized as the youngest super middleweight titleholder in history.

Benavidez kickstarted his professional career at just 16 years old via a knockout victory over Erasmo Moreno in one round in Puerto Peñasco. In April 2015, he claimed his championship, the NABF Junior Light title, after defeating Rollin Williams. By the end of 2015, Benavidez proudly held a record of 12 victories, with an impressive 11 of them resulting in stoppages with no defeats to his name. In October 2015, he signed a promotional agreement with Sampson Lewkowicz's Sampson Boxing.
