Dillon Danis is an American mixed martial arts competitor who is signed with Bellator MMA and fights in the welterweight division of the promotion. He was born on August 22, 1993, at Parsippany, Troy Hills, New Jersey, United States, and was brought up there. Danis is well known for his fighting abilities and has been involved in martial arts since his childhood.
At the age of 15, Danis started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. At the age of 17, he started visiting Marcelo Garcia’s academy in New York, United States seeking a career in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Securing wins in several high-level tournaments, he earned a black belt at the age of 21.
Danis made his professional debut in mixed martial arts at Bellator 198 against Kyle Walker on April 28, 2018, in Rosemont, Illinois, United States. He made quick work of Walker by submitting him in round one via toe hold and secured the win. In his second outing, Danis faced Max Humphrey at Bellator 222 on June 19, 2019, in New York, United States. He defeated Humphrey in the closing moments of the first round of the bout via submission due to an armbar.
