When Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker first met at ONE on Prime Video 3, Lineker was initially scheduled to defend his ONE bantamweight world title.
However, when Lineker stepped onto the scales the night before, he was a quarter of a pound heavier than the 145lbs weight limit. The MMA veteran was therefore stripped of the world title and unable to reclaim his belt if he won the bout against Andrade.
Everything at the beginning seemed to go in Andrade’s favor. Mid-fight, he was gaining momentum with his strikes and John Lineker looked the worst for wear, fighting with a swollen right eye.
On the cusp of victory, ‘Wonder Boy’ ramped up the pressure but got too carried away. He accidentally landed a low blow with his knee, smashing Lineker’s cup upon impact. With ‘Hands of Stone’ unable to get back to his feet, the referee ruled a No Contest.
With the rematch edging closer by the day, Fabricio Andrade hopes to close this chapter of his life with another highlight-reel finish.

Despite Fabricio Andrade’s trash-talk, John Lineker says that he “remains the champion”
Former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker hopes to silence Fabricio Andrade for good on February 24.
As a new dad, John Lineker has found another reason why he needs to reclaim his belt as soon as possible. The Brazilian powerhouse remains undefeated in four matches, destroying his last three opponents with stoppages.
Despite Andrade proclaiming himself as the “uncrowned king,” Lineker wants to remind his foe that he needs to defeat a world champion before calling himself the rightful king.
In a prior interview with ONE Championship, ‘Hands of Stone’ said:
“I really want to get this belt back. I didn’t lose the title to an opponent, but to the scales. This belt is actually mine. I remain the champion.”
