Fabricio Andrade is a fighter who thrives on his feet. ‘Wonder Boy’ is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in ONE Championship. He showed that once again in his ONE on Prime Video 3 main event with former bantamweight champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker.
In the interest of staying on his feet, Andrade plans to fix some of the holes in his game, specifically avoiding takedowns that will negate the power he possesses in both his fists and his feet. Speaking to The MMA Super Fan, Fabricio Andrade said:
“I don’t want to be taken down and give them the opportunity to take me down. It’s not because they’re good wrestlers, but because I made a mistake.”
‘Wonder Boy’ will have three months to get back in the gym and start honing his skills before he steps back into the Circle. It was recently announced that Andrade and John Lineker will run back their October clash this coming February at ONE on Prime Video 7 with the ONE bantamweight world championship hanging in the balance.

Fabricio Andrade compared to Conor McGregor by another bantamweight contender
‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor rose to fame for his penchant for trash-talking about his ability to back up every word. Though the Irishman has fallen down a few pegs in recent years, he remains a popular force amongst fans for his WWE-like persona. ONE Championship has its own version of McGregor in Fabricio Andrade.
A Brazilian striker with incredible accuracy and power matched with the gift of gab, ‘Wonder Boy’ has quickly become one of the promotion’s top stars for being what many consider to be the total package. Bantamweight contender Stephen Loman shared his thoughts on Andrade in a recent interview with ONE Championship and compared ‘Wonder Boy’ to McGregor, saying:
“He’s Brazil’s answer to Conor McGregor, not just because he can expertly trash talk his opponents, but also because he is very precise with his striking. His timing is spot on, and he has excellent power.”
Unlike McGregor, Fabricio Andrade is still firing on all cylinders inside the cage and is performing at the top of his game. Next, he’ll attempt to become a ONE world champion when he rematches ‘Hands of Stone’ this coming February.
