Fabricio Andrade believes he holds a psychological advantage over John Lineker after their first meeting at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October.
Andrade and Lineker will once again square off under the main event spotlight at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video to crown a new ONE bantamweight world champion. The two failed to settle their business last year after an ill-placed low blow from Andrade resulted in the bout being ruled a no-contest.
After four months, the two heavy hitters will run it back with gold hanging in the balance.
Despite not getting the finish, Fabricio Andrade seemingly held the upper hand throughout their first meeting. Particularly so in the fourth round where one of Andrade’s knees landed clean and sent Lineker reeling. ‘Wonder Boy’ believes his success in their first showdown will give him a mental advantage over the former ONE world champion when they meet again on February 24.

“I think the fact that I came very close to ending the fight, that he was badly hurt in the fight, and that I defended all his attempts on the ground, makes a difference in the psychological factor,” Andrade told ONE Championship. “He knows I’m better than him.”
ONE Fight Night 7 will air live and for free in North America for subscribers on Amazon Prime Video.
Fabricio Andrade expects a better John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7
When Fabricio Andrade steps into the ring at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok later this month, he expects a new and improved John Lineker to show up. Even if that's the case, ‘Wonder Boy’ believes it still won’t be enough for ‘Hands of Stone’ to reclaim the ONE bantamweight world title.
“He will definitely prepare more now that he knows how good I am. But I believe this will not make a difference.”
Both fighters go into a highly anticipated rematch undefeated inside the Circle. Lineker rattled off four straight victories on his way to capturing the ONE bantamweight world title. This included a jaw-dropping second-round knockout of ONE legend Bibiano Fernandes last year.
On the flip side, Fabricio Andrade is an equally impressive 5-0 under the ONE banner, his last three wins coming by way of knockout.
With a ONE world title and undefeated runs on the line, the ONE Fight Night 7 main event is nothing short of a can’t-miss clash.
