'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade can hardly wait to get in the ONE Circle against 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker. Finally, these two Brazilian knockout artists can finish what they started.
On February 24, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Andrade and Lineker will battle for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title. They met last year but the bout was called off as a no-contest.
The original match was an exciting and explosive affair which ended with an accidental groin strike from Andrade. Lineker was unable to recover and the bout was officially declared a No Contest.
In a recent interview, ahead of his upcoming headlining fight, Brazil's Fabricio Andrade spoke with Nicolas Atkin of SCMP MMA and recalled what happened in the first match. 'Wonder Boy' explained:

"I wouldn’t say it was because of the height, I think it was just the moment. I don’t know, he was pushing his body back and I ended up hitting him like flush. But I don’t think it has anything to do with the size, I think it was just the moment. I rushed a little bit. I should’ve been a bit more patient and taken my time. But yeah, unfortunately that happened."

Fabricio Andrade has unyielding confidence
'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade will be looking to capture the vacant ONE bantamweight crown against the heavy-handed and dangerous John Lineker. The confidence of the 25-year-old fighter is unparalleled.
As a former Muay Thai fighter, his hands and knee strikes are sharp. But even in wrestling, Andrade is highly confident in his ability against John Lineker. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, the Brazilian fighter said:
"I gave him an opportunity to take the fight to the ground, and I don't believe he's a good wrestler."
The plan for Andrade is to knockout Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 and then potentially defend the world title against 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman later this year. 'Wonder Boy' is confident he can knock out Loman as well. While speaking with SCMP MMA, Andrade said:
“Yeah, yeah. Loman is already there, he's next in line and after I finish Lineker we’re gonna see when I’m gonna finish Loman as well.”
