Undefeated two-division world champion Reinier de Ridder has delivered one of the most memorable runs in ONE Championship history, and ‘The Dutch Knight’ is just getting started.
After capturing the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight titles in back-to-back wins against ONE legend Aung La N Sang, de Ridder followed things up with a third-round submission over welterweight titleholder Kiamrian Abbasov. Five months later, ‘The Dutch Knight’ stepped back into the Circle to defend his middleweight crown against a former world champion in Vitaly Bigdash.
Squaring off in the ONE 159 main event, de Ridder delivered another epic performance, putting away the former world champion in the very first round via an inverted triangle as seen in a clip posted on ONE Championship’s Instagram below:

Reinier de Ridder is nearing a return to the Circle
The last time Reinier de Ridder graced the Circle in July, he delivered a brilliant first-round submission over the always dangerous Vitaly Bigdash, improving his record to 7-0 under the ONE Championship banner and 16-0 overall.
It now looks as though ‘The Dutch Knight’ is nearing a return per a recent post on the dual-world champion’s Instagram account. He wrote in the caption:
“Ask and you shall receive. My next opponent has been selected. I am grinding hard to protect what is mine, nobody takes an inch from me. 🔥🔥🔥”
While ONE Championship is yet to reveal who ‘The Dutch Knight’ will be squaring off with, it does appear that based on the context of the post, Reinier de Ridder will be defending one of his two world titles. Who would you like to see de Ridder face inside the Circle when he makes his triumphant return?
