One fan responded to the clip saying:

“Looking ready, bro. Good luck. 🥊🥊”

Another reacted to his spinning heel kick by saying:

“Switch spinning heel was 🤌”

It will be almost four years since 'Super' Sage made his first and last appearance at ONE Championship in 2019. Fans remember Northcutt's exit from the promotion very well when 29 seconds into the bout, Brazilian veteran Cosmo Alexander knocked out the American prospect with the first punch of the night.

Northcutt would later detail why he took a break from competition in an interview with Ariel Helwani from The MMA Hour.

Sage Northcutt says he never thought of retiring after debut loss

Despite rumors mentioned about Sage Northcutt’s absence from competition, the American star is finally setting the record straight.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani recently from The MMA Hour, ‘Super’ Sage said he never thought of quitting after his debut loss. Apparently, he was ready to take on the next bout as soon as he could, but after suffering numerous fractures to his face after that fight, he required immediate surgery which needed its proper time to heal.

The American star explained:

“After my fight, even right afterward, the very next day I was already planning on coming back. It did take a little while — as a lot of people know, for about a year plus, I was just healing up. So that took a little bit of time, for sure. But after that, I was full-blown training.”
