Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an American combat sports athlete who excelled in professional boxing during his time as a professional competitor in the sport. After compiling an incredible record of 84 wins and 8 losses besides winning multiple awards and accolades in his early days, Mayweather transitioned to professional boxing on October 11, 1996, against Roberto Apodaca in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mayweather didn’t disappoint in his inaugural professional boxing showdown and put up a dominant show by dispatching Apodaca in the second round to announce his arrival on the professional boxing scene with style.

After a successful showing in the squared circle, Floyd Mayweather Jr. climbed the ladders of success as his career progressed forward in the fight business. He held multiple titles in different weight classes and went on to become one of the leading faces of professional boxing carrying considerable value as a draw.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. last competed as a professional boxer on August 26, 2017, against the iconic UFC superstar, Conor McGregor in a twelve-round boxing bout. Mayweather dispatched McGregor in the tenth round to seize a victory and retired from the professional boxing scene.
