While responding to fan questions on social media, former UFC lightweight king Rafael dos Anjos insisted that Conor McGregor is the one fight that he would like to have on his record.
Conor McGregor is, without a doubt, the biggest name that the sport of mixed martial arts has ever produced and just like countless other fighters, a former UFC champion has named the superstar as his dream matchup.
'The Notorious' was making waves as a two-division world champion in Cage Warriors prior to signing with the UFC in 2013. From promising talent to an international megastar, the Irishman is a big reason why MMA is a global powerhouse and his stature in the sport may never be reached again.
"I've fought the best in guys in two divisions, but the Conor [McGregor] fight I would like to have on my records."

Rafael dos Anjos has been competing in the octagon since 2008 and his life with the promotion has been phenomenal. Although he is 4-5 in his last nine outings, the Brazilian spent a year as the reigning lightweight champion after successfully taking the strap away from Anthony Pettis at UFC 185 on March 14, 2015.
While his run as champion was short-lived, having only made one title defense, 'RDA' will likely go down as one of the best 155ers in the history of the company. Throughout his 33 bouts under the UFC banner, the South American won a respectable 21.
Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos' feuding history
Despite being at the top of their game at around the same time in their careers, Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos never crossed paths, but how close were they to doing so?
The 34-year-old had just knocked out Jose Aldo and announced his plans at moving up to lightweight to become the first-ever simultaneous two-weight champion in the UFC.
The two were booked to face one another and after a date was set and a press conference commenced, injury forced Dos Anjos out of the bout, bringing an end to fight talks.
Their careers began branching out in different directions, but the two would meet again backstage ahead of McGregor's huge trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier two years ago. While the fight has never come to fruition, the pair could be matched up in the future as they have both expressed an interest in competing at 170.
