UFC bantamweight Adrian Yanez had a rough day at work on April 9. The 29-year-old went up against Rob Font in the main card of UFC 287.
The fight was a short-lived but thrilling affair as Font outclassed Yanez and knocked him out in the first round to secure the win. With the victory, Font broke his two-fight skid in the UFC. Apart from that, the 35-year-old also put an end to Yanez's incredible nine-fight winning streak.
After the defeat, Yanez uploaded a post on Twitter, apologizing to his fans for the loss. The 29-year-old did not make any excuses in the post and said he would make a comeback.

What did Rob Font say after his victory over Adrian Yanez at UFC 287?
After suffering a brutal defeat at the hands of Marlon Vera in April last year, Rob Font made a triumphant comeback after a year-long layoff at UFC 287.
In his post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan, Font shared how he used his jab to secure the win. The 35-year-old said that he needed to score a knockout at UFC 287 and now wishes to take on top-ranked fighters next:
"Like I said before, I'm super confident in my jab and I get this thing going on anybody, I'm taking them out... Man, it's been a while since I got a finish and I needed this finish, I needed it for myself. I needed it for my team, I needed it for my family, man. Put me back with the top guys, I'm ready to go."
