The Ultimate Fighting Championship is bringing its much-awaited pay-per-view of UFC 298 to California, USA. Airing live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, the event is laced up with impressive fights and is scheduled to be headlined by featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria in a featherweight showdown for the UFC featherweight title. Geoff Neal and Ian Garry will also lock horns with each other in a welterweight bout on the main card of the event.

Geoff Neal is no stranger to the world of professional mixed martial arts. Geoff Neal, an experienced fighter with 20 professional bouts, has amassed an impressive record. He made his debut in 2012 against David McAfee at Xtreme Combat Productions: Blood and Glory.

Geoff Neal made an impressive statement in his first professional fight as he outlasted his rival, McAfee, via a first-round submission and took off to a winning start as a professional combat sports competitor. Initially, Neal competed in different mixed martial arts promotions and he switched between welterweight and middleweight weight classes. He eventually joined the UFC and has competed in the promotion ever since his first showing in it in 2017 against Chase Waldon.

Geoff Neal’s opponent at UFC 298, Ian Garry, is one of the most promising contenders in the UFC. He started his career with a unanimous decision victory against James Sheehan at Cage Warriors 101 in 2019. Garry then cruised to gather consecutive victories and also won the Cage Warriors Welterweight title by defeating Jack Grant at Cage Warriors 125 via unanimous decision.

After competing in different promotions, Ian Garry gradually reached the UFC. He defeated Jordan Williams at UFC 268 in 2021. He has since then maintained his clinical performance inside the octagon. Currently ranked No. 10 in the UFC’s welterweight rankings, Garry will look forward to outclassing Geoff Neal, who is ranked No. 8, to move forward in the division. Neal will have similar intentions when he walks out to the octagon at UFC 298.
