Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, born in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 7, 1994, is an undefeated lightweight professional boxer who presently holds the WBA lightweight title. Coming from a tough life, having spent most of his life in group homes and foster care, and having seen his parents suffer from the abuse of drugs, Davis found his sense and discipline in the sport of boxing. From the tender age of five, he trained at the Upton Boxing Center in Baltimore under the coaching of Calvin Ford.

Davis' professional boxing career commenced in 2013, and he went up the ranks in boxing in a chain of dominating wins. The real breakthrough in his life arrived in January 2017, when he won the IBF super featherweight title by knockout in the seventh round, which made him the world's youngest champion at the time. As of February 2025, he possesses a perfect record, having won 30 fights, 28 by knockout. Through his finishing skills and fighting techniques, he has become one of the world's most famous boxing superstars in the current generation.
