Heavyweight standout Kang Ji Won credits his close circle of friends and supporters for the success he has found in his combat sports career thus far.
On November 3, ‘Mighty Warrior’ will compete for the first time since scoring a 58-second knockout against Paul Elliott at the promotion’s 10th-anniversary showcase, ONE X.
The victory marked his third win in his last four fights, the lone loss being against 17-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida.
Having bounced back from the defeat to Almeida, Kang Ji Won will look to put together a win streak when he meets Canadian newcomer Ben Tynan.

Speaking with ONE Championship before his long-awaited return to the Circle at ONE Fight Night 16, Kang shared some insight into what has helped him amass an impressive 6-1 overall record and a 100 percent finish rate in ONE.
He said:
“I also received a lot of help from those close to me. It’s thanks to them that I was able to make it to where I am today,” Won said. “If you surround yourself with good people who care about you and do your best at what you want to do, good days eventually will find you.”
Hoping to bring Kang Ji Won’s momentum to a crashing halt will be Ben Tynan, a ONE debutant who has a penchant for delivering highlight-reel-worthy knockouts of his own.
Through four career fights, ‘Vanilla Gorilla’ has finished three of his opponents by way of knockout with another victory coming via arm triangle choke.
Will Ben Tynana make a memorable debut inside the Circle at ONE Fight Night 16, or will Kang Ji Won pad his resume with another brutal knockout?
