The promotion decided to part ways with Kakhramonov after three fights, and the Uzbekistan-born fighter doesn’t know why. The 27-year-old decided to make the announcement on Twitter before being officially removed from the roster. He had this to say:

“Before you see my name on the UFC Roster watch lol UFC releasing me after 1 lost smh. I never had fair shake in the ufc 3 fights almost in 2 years. Every time I walked into cage it felt like my debut. Sh*t 3 fights in 2 years? Feels like they brought me in to lose.”

Kakhramonov has since deleted his tweet, later telling a fan there was no need to keep the negativity on his page. The former bantamweight also called out Lerone Murphy after Nathaniel Wood pulled out with an injury. It’s unclear if the 27-year-old will get the matchup against Murphy, but his chances are low, considering he just got released for an unknown reason.

Highly-rated MMA prospect Saidyokub Kakhramonov says the UFC didn’t give him a reason for being released

Saidyokub Kakhramonov seems to be most frustrated with the lack of reasoning for being released. The Uzbekistan-born fighter fought twice in 2022, losing once, and planned to fight in the first half of 2023. Kakhramaonov was asked by a fan on Twitter if the promotion told him why he was being released. The MMA prospect responded by saying:

“Nope. First told us wait until May or shop around then yesterday they said they want to release me. I was actually looking at that new comer Japanese fighter Nakamura. Looked amazing I thought that would be a great challenge for me.”

Kakhramonov made his promotion debut in August 2021 with a pro-MMA record of 8-2. After missing weight for his first fight, he managed to save face by defeating Trevin Jones with a third-round submission.

Nearly a year later, Kakhramonov returned to secure a unanimous decision win against Ronnie Lawrence. The 27-year-old last fought in the final event of 2022, losing against Said Nurmagomedov by second-round submission. Hopefully, the highly-rated MMA prospect will find success outside of the promotion.
