In his career in the UFC, McGregor has held belts in two weight classes: featherweight and lightweight. He won his first belt in December 2015, when he defeated Jose Aldo at UFC 194 to become the featherweight champion.

Conor McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez on November 12, 2016, at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden to become the UFC lightweight champion and the first fighter in UFC's history to hold two belts simultaneously.

In addition to his UFC title belts, McGregor has also been awarded an interim belt once in his career. Interim belts are awarded to fighters who are expected to compete for a championship but are unable to do so due to extenuating circumstances.
