Through 14 fights in the UFC, Conor McGregor has tasted defeat just four times to three different fighters. Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier remain the only men to best 'The Notorious' in the Octagon.

Diaz became the first to ruin the record-breaking run of McGregor in 2016, upsetting the Irishman with a second-round submission at UFC 196. McGregor would eventually get his revenge against Diaz later that same year.

In 2018, Nurmagomedov handed McGregor his first loss at lightweight in the UFC and first defeat in a championship fight. 'The Eagle' would also win by submission, this time in the fourth round.

After a lengthy hiatus, McGregor would suffer his first losing streak in the UFC in 2021 with back-to-back losses to Poirier. The second loss at UFC 264 would be the result of a leg break that has kept the former champion out of commission in the years since.

Following a three-year recovery from breaking his leg at UFC 264, Conor McGregor has declared himself ready to return to the Octagon in 2024. His return fight was scheduled to be against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 but an injury in training has forced the fight to be postponed once more.

McGregor and Chandler were expected to fight in 2023 after coaching against each other on The Ultimate Fighter but were put on the backburner with the Irishman struggling with issues related to USADA. With his return fight now off the table, the UFC is attempting to re-book the two former champions for later in 2024 with no promises being made.
