Born on September 29, 1988, Alexander Volkanovski is an Australian professional mixed martial artist who is the former featherweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has a record of 26 wins and 4 losses. Volkanovski is a former Australian Fighting Championship, PXC, and Roshambo MMA featherweight champion.

Over the years, he has competed in other weight classes, like lightweight and welterweight. He made his debut in 2012 against Gerhard Voight and defeated him by a unanimous decision. Alexander Volkanovski made his second featherweight title defense against Brian Ortega and won the fight via a unanimous decision on September 25, 2021, at UFC 266 in Las Vegas, United States.

UFC 273: Volkanovski vs. The Korean Zombie

At UFC 273, Volkanovski TKO’d Jung Chan-sung at 0:45 in the fourth round in Jacksonville, Florida, United States and retained his featherweight title.

UFC 276: Volkanovski vs. Holloway 3

Alexander Volkanovski registered his third win over Max Holloway at UFC 276 via a unanimous decision and defended the featehrweight title successfully. The fight took place on July 2, 2022, in Las Vegas, United States.

UFC 290: Volkanovski vs. Rodriguez

Volkanovski had his recent title defense at UFC 290 against the interim UFC featherweight champion, Yair Rodriguez, on July 8, 2023. Volkanovski shut Rodriguez's lights off in the third round and picked a third-round TKO win to defend his title successfully.
