Leon Edwards is one of the leading combat sports superstars signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The former welterweight champion ventured into professional mixed martial arts on June 5, 2011, at Fight UK MMA: Fight UK 4 opposite Damian Zlotnicki in a welterweight bout. Edwards put on a dominant show and switched Zlotnicki’s lights off in the first round winning the fight by a first-round TKO.

After successfully launching himself into the professional circuit with a victory, Leon Edwards didn’t disappoint his growing fan following. The 33-year-old Englishman kept running through his opponents on every occasion except for an initial hiccup in the third fight of his career which he lost via disqualification. Edwards registered an impressive record of eight wins and one loss before storming into the leading professional mixed martial arts company, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
