American professional mixed martial artist Matt Frevola was born on June 11, 1990, and is presently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's lightweight category. Frevola fought Genaro Valdéz at UFC 270 on January 22, 2022, as the final match of his current contract. Frevola defeated Valdéz by technical knockout in the opening round, having already taken him out several times. Ottman Azaitar and Frevola's fight was rescheduled for November 12, 2022, at UFC 281. In the opening round, he was knocked out to win the bout.

On May 6, 2023, Frevola competed against Drew Dober at UFC 288. At the conclusion of the first round, he was declared the winner via TKO. He was awarded Performance of the Night for this victory. Benoît Saint-Denis and Frevola are slated to square off at UFC 295 on November 11, 2023.
