Paulo Henrique Costa, a Brazilian mixed martial artist, was born on April 21, 1991. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Middleweight division. He is currently ranked #7 in the UFC middleweight rankings as of May 2024.

On August 17, 2019, at UFC 241, Costa faced Romero. He prevailed by unanimous decision in the match. This fight earned him the Fight of the Night award. On September 27, 2020, at UFC 253, Costa fought Israel Adesanya for the UFC Middleweight Championship on the strength of his five-fight winning streak in the UFC. His first defeat as a professional came in the second round after a technical knockout loss.

At UFC 277 on July 30, 2022, Costa was supposed to compete against former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold. However, for unspecified reasons, the fight was moved to UFC 278. Costa prevailed by a unanimous decision in the match. He won the Fight of the Night award for this fight.

At UFC 284 on February 12, 2023, Costa squared off against Robert Whittaker. Despite a strong start to the fight, Costa lost the bout via a unanimous decision. His next fight is scheduled against former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland at UFC 302 on June 1, 2024.
