A UFC middleweight fighter once chose a song by Diddy (original name Sean Combs) for his octagon walkout amid a swirling controversy surrounding the American rapper—but the move ended up falling flat.
Diddy has been embroiled in a series of scandals for nearly a year, grappling with serious allegations of sexual assault, racketeering, and forced sex trafficking for purposes of prostitution. These charges led to his arrest and subsequent federal custody in September, with his trial still pending.
In April, Chris Curtis squared off against his former rival, Brendan Allen, in the main event of UFC Vegas 90. Before suffering a narrow split-decision defeat, 'Action-Man' made his entrance to the Diddy track, 'Bad Boy for Life'.

However, the song choice was met with significant backlash on social media for being poorly timed, with many pointing to the swirling controversy surrounding the music producer.
After the fight, Curtis took to X and tried to clarify how he ended up in this predicament:
"I'm getting some weird looks, so I'll explain the walkout for you guys before I go to bed. Last night at dinner, I got a call saying my walkout song ('The Rumbling by Stim') wasn't approved by the execs."
'Action-Man' added:
"I was low-key kinda p*ssed, so I went with Diddy thinking, 'there is no way they'll approve this then...,' but I'm petty and a smart a**. jokes on me, they definitely approved it, so we just went with it. Lol, Diddy is terrible, but it was kinda hilarious. I'll do better in the future."

When Israel Adesanya revealed Diddy reached out for an "interview"
During his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience in October, Israel Adesanya recounted a story about Diddy reaching out to him for an interview following his middleweight title triumph over Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in April 2023.
'The Last Stylebender' said that he handed over his manager's contact information to the controversial artist, but nothing came of their conversation afterward:
"After I knocked out Pereira in Miami, we went to Tootsie's the next night, and they were like, 'Yo, P. Diddy was here watching your fight last night.' I was like, 'Wait, what? Crazy!' So, I went and checked my DMs, and I saw, 'Oh, he hit me up.' He was talking about doing an interview or whatever two months later. I said, 'Here's my manager's number.' Bop. Cool. Nothing ever came of it."
