Joe Rogan and some of his friends once joked about Dana White's Power Slap organization. The veteran UFC color commentator did so during his JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast's JRE Fight Companion episode.

Power Slap, a professional slap fighting organization, was founded by Rogan's longtime work associate and friend Dana White in 2022 and launched in 2023. The UFC CEO and president consistently promotes the sport and the organization, even on the UFC's official social media handles. Its latest event was Power Slap 10 (Dec. 6, 2024).

Joe Rogan, ex-UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub, and their fellow American comedians Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Simpson were a part of the aforementioned JRE Fight Companion episode. They live-streamed their reactions to UFC 305, which transpired in Australia on Aug. 18, 2024, local time.

Upon Schaub suggesting that the UFC broadcast was showing a Power Slap promo, Rogan stated:

"That seems like I wouldn't advise any of this."

Hinchcliffe likened it to a "sketch." Schaub claimed that some people he respects say watching Power Slap in person is fun. Rogan said:

"Sure, if there was car accidents at the f**king parking lot, you go out and watch."

Brian Simpson appeared to jestingly inquire whether Power Slap has a feeder league like "Ultimate Slapper," like the UFC has the TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) reality show.

Laughter ensued. Schaub indicated that they did, which is how they scouted competitors for Power Slap. It's believed that 'Big Brown' was likely referring to the reality show, 'Power Slap: Road to the Title.' Rogan proceeded to state:

"You guys are saying this like it's trivial. This is a real sport. You should shut the f**k up. Okay? This is sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission."

In response to Schaub implying that Power Slap athletes undergo drug testing, Rogan laughingly asserted:

"Which is ridiculous. I want my slappers on meth. I want them all on the same sh** that [Adolf] Hitler was on when he went across Poland. Give them the real stuff. Let's go. I want methed-up dudes slapping their f**king faces off. I don't want dudes on painkillers. I want dudes just jacked to the t*ts on amphetamines."

Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub joke about Rogan potentially being a Power Slap "shill"

Dana White has consistently highlighted that Power Slap has achieved tremendous success. White asserted that Power Slap accrued a $750 million valuation. He even juxtaposed its social media following with that of major sports leagues such as NASCAR, NHL, PGA, etc.

During the aforementioned JRE Fight Companion episode, Joe Rogan and the others discussed Power Slap's weight class dynamics. Schaub insinuated that competing against opponents from different weight divisions would be "unprofessional." Rogan jestingly retorted:

"Why don't you shut the f**k up? These people are athletes. I just can't take here why you disrespect which is part of the parent company that I'm employed by." [*comments at the 1:44:24-minute mark of the podcast video]

Schaub responded by joking about Joe Rogan possibly serving as a "shill" for Power Slap which is affiliated with Rogan's longtime employer, the UFC. Furthermore, Rogan later reacted to a video of Power Slap champion 'Da Crazy Hawaiian' KO'ing bodybuilder Larry Wheels with a slap and deemed it "free brain damage."
