Jorge Masvidal has once again fired shots at long-term rival Leon Edwards and demanded the UFC welterweight champion take the "money fight" and attempt to get revenge for the brawl between the two back in 2019.

Despite being a popular fighter since his backyard fighting days with the late Kimbo Slice, 'Gamebred' rose to further fame when he knocked out Darren Till in London three years ago, then superstardom when he destroyed Ben Askren. However, his story with Leon Edwards goes back to a backstage brawl that occured after his win over Darren Till.

During a recent interview, Jorge Masvidal once again called for a fight against Leon Edwards and claimed that the Brit's championship status could gift him the fight if he really wanted it.

"The guy is literally the champion right now. If he told Dana White and the UFC he wanted to fight me, the UFC makes it happen. If he wants the fight, the fight is there for him, but he doesn't want the fight. What he does want is to entertain the idea that he wants the fight... If I affected you so much as a man that you can't live your life without thinking about me every day, then make the fight... I'm the biggest money fight for him. The most money."

While the bout between Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards will likely be a huge pay-per-view for the promotion, it is unlikely to happen anytime soon. The Miami native is currently enduring a three-fight losing streak. This is the worst streak of fights he has had in his nearly two-decade career.

The UFC welterweight champion is rumored to be putting his title on the line in a trilogy bout against Kamaru Usman, with the highly-anticipated clash set to take place in the UK sometime next year.

Who will Jorge Masvidal fight next?

With the welterweight title fight seemingly off the table, who will Jorge Masvidal meet in the octagon for his return fight after becoming embroiled in legal issues outside the cage?

In the video above, the 38-year-old expressed his interest in not only fighting but "tearing up" Gilbert Burns in a matchup that could spell title implications for the winner.

"I plan on giving a beating, tearing up, and hitting Gilbert Burns with everything and the kitchen sink. I'm going to do everything that no one has done to him [before]."
