Jake Paul is a 27-year-old social media personality turned boxer from America. Born and brought up in Ohio, Jake, along with his brother Logan Paul, started filming videos at the age of 10. He initially rose to fame via Vine, which is an American short-form video-hosting service that was launched in 2013 and later shut down in 2017. While using Vine, Paul had already started his YouTube channel, where he posted videos on pranks, hip-hop music, and other controversies. During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Jake Paul said that he was fired from one of the series produced by Disney called Bizaardvark.

Jake Paul made his way into boxing in 2021 by creating an organization named ‘Boxing Bullies' to support the next generations against bullying.

Jake Paul's combat sport

Jake Paul is a boxer and not an MMA fighter. He has yet to make his professional MMA debut.

The difference between a boxer and a fighter is that a boxer can only give you a set of jabs and uppercuts to defeat his/her opponents inside the ring. Whereas a professional fighter may use any form of combination of strikes, kicks, and other grappling techniques to defeat his/her opponent. A professional boxing match consists of 4 to 12 rounds of 3 minutes each, depending upon the scale of the promotion and other factors. While professional mixed martial arts consist of a minimum of 3 rounds of 5 minutes each.

Jake Paul signed a multi-year deal with PFL on January 5, 2023, and started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Jake Paul's boxing stint

Jake Paul made his amateur boxing debut on August 25, 2018, stopping Deji Olutanji in the fifth round of their contest at the Manchester Arena, England. He debuted as a professional on January 30, 2020, with a victory over AnEsonGib by TKO. Jake Paul then knocked out Nate Robinson in the second round of the bout on November 28, 2020, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He kept the winning streak alive by knocking out Ben Askren on April 17, 2021, by a TKO. Paul faced Tyron Woodley next, defeating him by a split decision on August 29, 2021. Three months later Woodley and Paul squared off once again, with Paul knocking the retired UFC fighter out in the sixth round on December 18, 2021, at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

On October 29, 2022, Paul defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva by unanimous decision at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. On February 26, 2023, he was defeated for the first time as a professional by Tommy Fury. However, Paul quickly rebounded on August 5, 2023, with a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz. He returned to action on December 15, 2023, when Paul stopped Andre August and in his last outing, Paul knocked out Ryan Bourland in the very first round.
