Michael Keith Chiesa, nicknamed “Maverick” is an American MMA fighter. He also works as a sports analyst and competes in the welterweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). He is currently No.12 in the UFC welterweight rankings.
Born on December 7, 1987 in Aurora Colorado, Michael Chiesa made his UFC debut at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 15 against Al laquinta on June 1, 2012. He defeated laquinta via a rear-naked choke in Round 1 and became the inaugural winner of The Ultimate Fighter:Live. He has since been a 2-time winner of the Fight of the Night, 2-time winner of the Submission of the Night and 1-time winner of the Performance of the Night.
