Considered one of the scariest and most anticipated prospects in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Sharaputdin Magomedov is still undefeated in his professional career so far. Starting his career only in 2017, the 30-year-old fighter from Russia is already on a twelve-fight win streak and no losses in mixed martial arts. One of the most key factors that makes him an exciting matchup in the middleweight division is his blood-curdling looks and persona inside the cage.

Even though hailing from Dagestan in Russia, Sharaputdin Magomedov is unlikely when it comes to wrestling. Most of the fighters from Russia have some of the most phenomenal ground games to ever compete inside the octagon like the UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov, current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov, etc. However, Sharaputdin Magomedov is strictly a Muay Thai based fighter in that case. With his exceptional striking and kicks, Magomedov has earned the majority of his wins via KO or TKO(10) in his professional career so far.

For his last outing, Magomedov made his promotional debut as a middleweight against the Brazilian Bruno Silva. The fight took place at UFC 294 on October 21, 2023, in Abu Dhabi and the Russian won the bout via a unanimous decision after the three-rounder.

Moreover, for his next outing, Sharaputdin Magomedov is set to go up against Antonio Trocoli(12-3-0, 1NC) on June 22, 2024 at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Aliskerov at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will mark Magomedov’s second fight for the promotion and is crucial for his career going forward as Trocoli has a 100% accuracy on takedowns and 71% accuracy on striking. Hence, fans are eagerly waiting for this particular middleweight clash.

Sharaputdin Magomedov Religion

Sharaputdin Magomedov follows the Muslim religion(also known as Islam). Of which he falls under the category of Sunni Islam. This particular class makes up 85 to 90 percent of the Muslim religion and is considered to be one of the largest creeds in the world.

Is Sharaputdin Magomedov related to Khabib Nurmagomedov?

Even though Sharaputdin Magomedov has many similarities with the former UFC lightweight champion and the Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov, they do not have any relation in between. Both were born in Dagestan, Russia, and fall under the same religion, under the same Sunni Muslims. However, they do not share any blood relationship with each other. And unlike Khabib Nurmagomedov, Sharaputdin Magomedov does not have a strong background in wrestling, he is a Muay Thai based fighter.
